About MDIAI

The MDIAI is a Non-Profit organization chartered by the International Association for Identification in April of 1980, with 68 Charter Members. It is currently comprised of about 300 members representing agencies spanning across the Southeastern United States, including local, county and state agencies in Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, Tennessee, Kentucky, Florida and several other states.

Mission Statement

The MDIAI was formed in order to:

  • Associate persons who are actively engaged in the professional of forensic identification, investigation and scientific examination of physical evidence in an organized body so that the profession in all of its branches may be standardized and effectively and scientifically practiced.
  • Encourage the enlargement and improvement of the science of forensic identification and crime detection.
  • Encourage research work in scientific crime detection
  • Keep its members appraised of the latest techniques and discoveries in forensic identification.
  • Employ the collective wisdom of the profession to advance the scientific techniques of forensic identification and crime detection.

The Magnolia Print

The Magnolia Print is the newsletter of the MDIAI. It helps disseminate valuable information to the members of the MDIAI, and promotes the mission of the organization. The information contained in this publication is updated regularly on this site.
